the best things come to those who wait
so, my "big" Christmas present from my mans finally came in the mail yesterday...he told me it was going to be late. i actually forgot all about it...but WOO-HOO, i was *so* happy when i saw it! gertie liked it, too.
"mutations" is far and away my favorite beck album, and most definitely in my top 3 of all time. i like that it is dj swamp's also, and not some random industry record guy. but i couldn't help but wonder...why did dj swamp sell it or give it away? meh, whatever. me so happy! i was so happy, in fact, that i staged a little impromptu dance party on the couch...
wheeeee!

What a cool gift!
I've never actually heard all of Mutations, but I like "Satan Gave Me a Taco" and some of the other songs from that one.
I'm still pretty much an Odelay fan, but I'd like to hear the Guero re-mix album.
oh my, you simply MUST hear the whole thing! repeatedly!! if only for "lazy flies" and "tropicalia." and "sing it again." and "static." and "cold brains." and "nobody's fault." and "diamond bollocks." and "dead melodies." :)
yeah, everyone on earth needs this album. every single song is awesome.
I like "Dead Melodies" and "Tropicalia". He's such a musical chameleon! I really like the Emmylou Harris version of "Nobody's Fault".
I've heard there are also copies in circulation of some old bootlegs, called "Golden Memories" or something like that.
Going to keep a look-out for Mutations, though :)
ah, yes, "golden feelings." :)
i do enjoy the beck.
