there are only a few days left to check out mondo-retro, my labor of love for the past few years. at the end of the month it will be gone forever...there's a lot of crazy links and funny stories and silly pictures. if you feel so inclined, head on over there and make a donation, and then i can keep it for a little bit longer. or don't; perhaps this is the way things must be. i feel like this is the end of an era. in it's heyday, i got over 1,000 hits a day, which was delightful and baffling. but MAN, i gotsta say, blogging is SOOOOOOO much easier!!! and i'm all about things being easier for me. because, you know, i'm a bit of a dullard.
anyhoo, there you can read about how jack white poured champagne down my dress from a window, how i hugged beck, how i saw warrant in a crappy little bar and had a great time in spite of myself (and got to mildly ridicule one of the band members), how johnny knoxville had his head up my skirt (my boyfriend bought the actual wardrobe prop skirt in that photo for me for xmas--and it fits!!), how i interviewed d.h. peligro from the dead kennedys...good stuff, people. it's a shame it all has to end...
