mondo's financial tip of the day

nothing of real interest to report, personally speaking. well, except i forgot to pay my my car payment last month. which i have never, ever done in my life. i always make sure the car payment and the credit cards are covered. the utilities can wait, dammit. i seriously don't think i ever got the bill. i got my bill for this month in the mail yesterday and saw i owed double. i was like, ?!?!? i mean, i pay stuff late ALL THE TIME, but i always know what bills i have. maybe i threw it away, who knows...i even wondered why i had so much extra money the other week. so i bought christmas presents with it. i am so stupid with money. so, gertie isn't getting fixed this week. i guess that is my christmas present to her!

speaking of utilities, several years back i temped at an electric company for a few weeks. i found out that in most states it is illegal for them to shut off your electric between the months of november-march. april 1st it's open season again. so, if you are strapped for cash and have to pick and choose which bills to pay, screw the electric company. the gas company, too. you can be reeeeeally behind in your payments, and they can only make you pay what you tell them you can afford, and it doesn't affect your credit rating. so, yeah.

oh, and arrested development was great last night. of course it was. oh, i missed it so! the very end scene was the best: "it's not a trick, michael." at first i was like, "what?!?!? ewww, that's the cheesiest, worst thing i've ever seen in my life!" and then came the payoff, and i laughed and laughed and laughed. so great. oh, and tobias' hair! bwaahhhhh-hahahahahah!

ok, on to the linkage:

the retro kid has some fun images.

the gauntlet 2 premiered last night...man, i eat up that shit like elvis ate up peanut butter and banana sammiches. there was plenty of drama on the first episode, so i am optimistic about the rest of the season. yippee!

don't know what to get your mom this year? how 'bout a porn company ?

I sure do love anomolous food!

It is just more proof that "inanimate" objcets do, ocassionally, have sporadic bursts of sentience during which they reach out in a good-natured attempt at self-expression.

In response to this challenge to our position as the dominant form of sentience on the planet, it's our sacred duty, of course, to eat these upstart foodstuffs.

When it comes to anomolous food, just say SHHH!

What is this SHHH business? I tell you, the web is full of crackpots. Some of my best friends are pieces of sentient food!

And they spelled "anomalous" wrong.
