i think i must know the whole thing by heart. poor, depressed charlie brown. "i know nobody likes me. why do we have to have a holiday season to emphasize it?" ahhh, lots of good stuff.

i got a 19/20 on this quiz. i got the very last one wrong. boooo.

My favorite part is when Snoopy is behind Lucy, mimicking her every crabby movement...before he gets caught. When he pounds his fist it cracks me UP!

Also, on a weird note: Even though I now own this on DVD and can watch it anytime, there's still something monumentally more fun watching it on TV. BTW, I miss the old Dolly Madison commercials. :(

Thanks for the heads up! :D

i love that part, too. i also like when snoopy gets embarrassed at schroeder's piano and, like, slinks away. :)

we were craking up throughout the whole thing...we were even dancing like our favorite incidental characters in that one scene...i was being the twins that bop their head from side to side, and chris was the guy with the hunchy-shoulder dance. we are so retarded.

in my neck of the woods, we didn't have dolly madison commercials, i don't think...but we did always have the mounds/almond joy/york peppermint patty commercials!!!

i also loved the "cbs special" logo thing that would swirl at the screen before charlie brown:

ok, the 2nd one is total crap, i screamed "change the channel!!" as soon as it started so as not to taint the experience of the first one. ugh. why did they do that?!? they should have just let the original stand on its own. i am a charlie brown purist!!!

p.s. i am glad you watched it, i was wondering while it was on if you did. yay!

OMG, I so love that you remember and loved the old vertigo-inducing CBS Special swirling logo of rainbow joy! I totally loved that too! I can still hear the little bit of action-y music that played when it swirled then dramatically stopped. Good memories. Sigh. :)
