waffle house.
every time i've ever been there, i've gotten free stuff. and there's nothing like that hearty "good morning!!!" when you walk in there. once i was there with my friend margaret, and she got waffles because she knew all the words to the "waffle house" song that they have on their jukebox (she's got the whole album, dammit), and she sang it at the table for me and most of the staff. they were like, "that's insane. you get a free waffle!" yay.
so, happy 50th birthday, ye olde house of waffles.
